Wingtoberfest: 23rd - 24th October Nottingham

Is there such a thing as the perfect chicken wing? After a summer spent touring UK cities showcasing some of the best wings the country has to offer, Wing Fest, the world’s largest chicken wing festival, will certainly be close to finding out. From 23rd – 24th October, the event returns to Nottingham with a Bavarian twist: enter Wingtoberfest.
Part homage to the iconic German beer festival, Wingtoberfest fest takes everything guests love about Wing Fest, and throws in crisp steins of beer, Oompah bands and long banquet tables. Top traders from over the summer will be revisiting their menus and bringing them to Nottingham’s OUT venue for a chance for guests to experience some of the flavours that won them a place in the Wing Fest Hall of Flame – all priced at £1.5 per wing.
Nottingham’s very own Mollis, as well as Kiki’s, Peck Peck and Gordo’s – all of whom picked up awards at this year’s events – are among the traders set to return, bringing their victorious wings along with some Bavarian-inspired twists. London rotisserie concept and sister to Peck Peck restaurant, Hendl is also on the lineup, with its take on Bavarian street food and a menu of juicy bratwursts.
Among Wing Fest’s highlights are its eating challenges, which will also be coming to Wingtoberfest. Here, guests can test their mettle by competing to eat as many hot wings as possible in a set amount of time in this spicy, messy, yet highly entertaining competition. Beer Puppeteer, a test in skill and co-ordination, will also be at the event, alongside DJs and live Oompah bands to really lean into the Bavarian experience.
Tickets for Wingtoberfest are on sale now via wingfest.co.uk/wingtoberfest/, starting from £20 for the Friday evening, and £24 for the Saturday afternoon, and Saturday evening sessions.
