Ludlow Food Festival

Set across three days, this year’s festival will deliver an exciting line-up across three live stages. The Outer Bailey Stage will feature chef demos from guests including George Egg: The Snack Hacker, while food voices including The Guardian’s Felicity Cloake and restaurant critic and broadcaster, Jimi Famurewa host talks at the Castle Garden Stage. The Fire Stage, sponsored by Kadai, will bring the heat with the British Live Fire Cooking Championships final which takes place over the weekend.

Some of the UK’s best live fire chefs will be battling for the title with Ludlow Castle’s historic Inner Bailey as the backdrop. The Fire Stage, hosted by DJ BBQ will also see the likes of live fire legends including Sam and Shauna of Hang Fire BBQ, Mike Warner from A Passion For Seafood, ‘chief fire-starter’ Julian Brown, and Anthony ‘Murf’ Murphy of The Beefy Boys.

Shropshire Lad, Adam Purnell will be bringing a BBQ masterclass as well as his Rum Shack bar to the Inner Bailey.

“Live fire cooking is primal, exciting and full of passion - and Ludlow Castle is the perfect stage for it,” says Purnell. “We’ll have flames, food, DJs, and that unbeatable Ludlow atmosphere.”

Festival-goers will also be able to explore food and flavour from 150 street food vendors and exhibitors showcasing seasonal and sustainable produce from across the Welsh Marches.
